Dates confirmed for WFATT conference in Dublin

The dates for the much-anticipated World Federation of Athletic Therapy and Training World (WFATT) Congress which is being hosted by ARTI have been officially announced.

The prestigious event will take place in The Helix, Dublin City University, from September 4 to 6 and promises to be one of the best events in the field of Athletic Therapy hosted in this country.

The decision by the WFATT to ask ARTI to host the Congress this year has been hailed as another indication of the esteem in which the Irish organisation is held by its global partners.

The WFATT World Congress will be held in conjunction with the 11th annual scientific conferenceof teh Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine. The title of the conference is ‘The Sporting Hip, Groin and Hamstring: A Complete Picture’.

This is being billed as ‘a conference for all’, and WFATT, the FSEM(I) and ARTI invite you to attend and participate in the joint conference. This conference is for healthcare professionals with an interest in sports medicine (e.g. doctors, athletic therapists and trainers, physiotherapists, sports rehabilitators etc.) and sports and exercise professionals (e.g. sports scientists, strength and conditioning specialists etc.). Prevention and management of acute and chronic sporting injuries of the hip, groin and hamstring can prove challenging to the “sports medicine community”. Best results can be  achieved by the integration of the collective areas of expertise of a multidisciplinary team.

Registration and abstract submission (with the option of submitting for publication in the Journal of Athletic Training, the official scientific publication of ARTI) are now open.
